We have a rare opening within our CT Department. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate. USC is seeking a friendly, professional part time CT Technologist to join our healthcare team to work 2 days a week. This position is no nights, weekends or holidays.

The CT Tech is responsible for producing computerized, tomographic images of designated anatomical areas as order/directed.  The CT Tech follows all established practices and procedures.  The CT Tech oversees the CT Department under the direction of the CEO/CAO while ensuring that the department is compliant with all applicable laws, regulations and standards associated with, but not limited to:  CMS, American College of Radiology, SD Department of Health and OSHA.  The CT Tech ensures that all safety and quality standards are met and that all necessary documentation for the department is up-to-date.  Maintains department supply inventory, and department policies.  Manages GE PACS and reviews dosimetry reports.  Performs blood creatinine test before contrast administration & IV starts for the administration of contrast.  Records quality assurance on CT and iStat machines. Works with physician and administration on special projects and other duties as needed (i.e. data collection, EMR, recognition, etc.).

Urology Specialist seeks to add three full time, professional, motivated, and friendly CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), LPN, RN or Sterile Processing Technicianto our busy team.

Primary Midlevel’s Nurse: The Primary provides expanded role of professional nursing care for clinic patients of all ages following established standards and practices.  The primary functions in a structured care setting in the clinic environment.  The primary adheres to the policies and procedures established by Urology Specialists.  The primary must demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for the clinic patient and possess the ability to perform nursing assessments of patient, in person and via telephone, and testing to assess data reflective of the patient's status and to interpret appropriately the information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to the age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed.  Rooms patients and reviews and obtains patient information per clinic policies and procedures.  Does patient teaching, assists in procedures, performs blood draws, gives injections, prepares medications for treatments and/or instillations, performs Urodynamics as directed, catheter changes and installations, runs urinalysis tests and voiding trials.  RN will work as triage nurse handling patient and hospital phone calls, walk-ins, and scheduling patients for testing & surgeries.  Responsible for assigned patient follow-up.  Completes paperwork, appropriately marks charge tickets for services provided and accesses, updates and maintains patient EMR records as appropriate. Ensures appropriate documentation has been gathered and distributed as necessary in appropriate timeline for office visits (x-rays, test results), procedures or surgeries.  Performs pre-authorizations for prescriptions, procedures, or surgeries as needed.  Sterilizes equipment, prepare procedure rooms, and get exam rooms ready.  Potential to work in ASC and cover other outreach and satellite sites as assigned.  Orders and stock rooms as assigned.  Takes direction from Physicians, Physician assistants, Director of Nursing and CEO.  Performs other duties as assigned by CEO.

Nursing Support Staff for clinic: The LPN or CMA staff member will room patients, obtain and review patient information per clinic and surgical center policies/procedures, assist in procedures, give injections, prepare medications for treatments and/or instillations, perform urodynamics as directed, complete voiding trials, catheter changes and installations. The staff member will assist in lab performing blood draws, urinalysis tests, and uroflow studies. Additional tasks will include preparing patient charts for appointments, perform pre-authorizations for prescriptions, procedures, or surgeries as needed, complete paperwork, and appropriately mark charge tickets for services provided. Candidates must be a graduate of a nursing program and be in possession of a state LPN license or a graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assisting and certified.

ASC Support Staff for ASC: The  Sterile Processing Technician will perform and participate in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment. Candidate should have at least 1 year of instrument sterile processing experience.

All three positions are Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, hours may vary from week to week. No nights, weekends or holidays.
