Clinic Nurse Manager (RN)

Urology Specialists, the premier urology group in the region, is looking for an experienced Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Manager for our clinic. This position is responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day clinical operations and success of the clinic- including lab and CT, and will work side by side with the ASC Nurse Manager. 

These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Refinement, development, and compliance with all clinical policies and procedures for the clinic. 
• Managing, developing, and leading clinical staff of RN’s, LPN’s, CMA’s, lab technicians, CT technicians, and surgery/procedure schedulers. 
• Coordinating staff’s daily activities and responsibilities ensuring proper coverage and accountability of performance at all clinic locations. 
• Fiscally responsible for clinical expenses of supplies, equipment, services, and staffing hours. 
• Working side by side with nursing staff providing patient care 40 to 50 percent of the time. 
• Serves as a positive liaison between clinical services and clerical support services including problem/process identification and resolution. 

Requirements:

• A graduate of an accredited school of nursing and in possession of a Registered Nurse License to practice in the State of South Dakota.  
• Supervisory experience or experience in a primary role in a clinic or ASC.  
• Extensive knowledge of patient care policies and procedures.
• Strong leadership and management skills and experience.
• Knowledge of fiscal management and human resource management.
• Ability to work easily in Microsoft Office Suite Products (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Position is 40 hours per week, exempt position, Monday through Friday.


ASC Nurse Manager (RN)

Urology Specialists, the premier urology group in the region, is looking for an experienced RN to join our team as the Lead RN for our ambulatory surgical center (ASC).

The ASC RN Lead is responsible for providing leadership, mentorship, clinical expertise, oversight of day-to-day operations and functional direction to other members of the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes in the specific surgical specialty. 

These responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Refinement, development, and compliance with all ASC policies and procedures.

• Managing, developing, and leading ASC staff

• Coordinating staff’s daily activities and responsibilities ensuring proper coverage and accountability of performance in ASC.

• Fiscally responsible for clinical expenses of supplies, equipment, services, and staffing hours.

• Working side by side with nursing staff providing patient care 40 to 50 percent of the time.

• Serves as a positive liaison between clinical services and clerical support services including problem/process identification and resolution.  

Job Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
Annual continuing education recommended.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an OR setting preferred.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS: 
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
Membership in AORN is preferred and CNOR certification is preferred within 2 years of hire


 

Urology Specialist seeks to add two full time, professional, motivated, and friendly CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), LPN, RN or Sterile Processing Technicianto our busy team.

Nursing Support Staff for clinic: The LPN or CMA staff member will room patients, obtain and review patient information per clinic and surgical center policies/procedures, assist in procedures, give injections, prepare medications for treatments and/or instillations, perform urodynamics as directed, complete voiding trials, catheter changes and installations. The staff member will assist in lab performing blood draws, urinalysis tests, and uroflow studies. Additional tasks will include preparing patient charts for appointments, perform pre-authorizations for prescriptions, procedures, or surgeries as needed, complete paperwork, and appropriately mark charge tickets for services provided. Candidates must be a graduate of a nursing program and be in possession of a state LPN license or a graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assisting and certified.

ASC Support Staff for ASC: The  Sterile Processing Technician will perform and participate in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment. Candidate should have at least 1 year of instrument sterile processing experience.

All positions are Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, hours may vary from week to week. No nights, weekends or holidays.
